RYA Training Centre
The St Andrews Watersports team are proud to bring Internationally Accredited RYA Courses to St Andrews Lakes.
Our RYA instructors here at St Andrews Watersports are all experienced RYA instructors who specialise in their chosen disciplines, both inland and coastal.
St Andrews Lakes is a fantastic location to learn and get hooked on an exciting new sport such as dinghy sailing or paddleboarding (SUP).
St Andrews Lakes waters are a stunning aquamarine colour and of pristine quality, being fed from fresh water springs.
You'll always be sure of a warm and friendly welcome from our St Andrews Lakes team; Encouraging and building confidence for those who maybe slightly nervous at dipping a toe into your new found sport or even perfecting a new skill.
Through years of instructing experience we have developed our courses in-line with the internationally recognised RYA syllabus.
All RYA courses are designed to build personal knowledge, skill and confidence whilst ensuring a lot of fun is had both on and off the water.
Kids love to learn in a group, whilst making new friends. Therefore all youth courses are taught at a ratio of no more than 6 children to 1 Instructor. Your child is supervised throughout the course and during break times.
Adults; well you can be a little more complicated! Some like to learn in a group, whilst others prefer a more private and more convenient 1:1 learning experience. We give you the choice of either joining a group course or booking 1:1 tuition at times to suit your lifestyle.
Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)
Stand Up Paddleboarding is a fantastic sport for all; our team of instructors will tailor the lesson to suit your ability.
It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner or just looking for advice on how to improve stance, paddle stroke through to step-back turns.
Don't have your own board or wetsuit? Not a problem, use one of our RED 10'6 2021 paddleboards for your course as well as borrow a wetsuit from our rental stock, all included in the cost of your lesson.
If you would prefer to use your own, of course you can bring it along.
If you would rather take part in a group lesson or with friends, give the office a call to arrange this
