Youth Sailing
RYA Learn to Sail in two stages.
Stage 1 is a 2 day course.
Cost: £125pp.
Includes all required equipment and course material.
Stage 2 is a 3 day course.
Cost: £170pp.
Includes all required equipment and course material
RYA Stage 1 is where it all begins for the kids, so is generally scheduled over weekends and the school holidays.
During the school holidays, both RYA Stages 1 and 2 can be completed over the period of 1 week.
Or if it better suits you or your child, you may split the the week over a period of time by completing RYA Stage 1; enjoy your new found hobby by getting out on the water by joining our Pirates Youth sailing Club and then complete RYA Stage 2 a few weeks later.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 cover; basic understanding of how a boat sails, steering and handling the boat, launching and recovery, steering, parts of the boat, basic sailing.

Stage 3 is a 3 day course.

Stage 4 is a 2 day course.
Cost: £125pp.
Includes all required equipment and course material.
As with the RYA Stages 1 and 2, choose to do a whole week with us and gain both RYA Stages 3 and 4.
Or, spread the stages over a period of time to gain practice and confidence.
Stage 3 and Stage 4 cover; rigging, launching and recovery, sailing techniques, capsize recovery, sailing theory, manoeuvres in crewed boats, recovering a man overboard.
